Area 36 is located in Southern Minnesota and part of A.A. General Service.  Its primary purpose is to facilitate communication within Area 36 and between Area 36 and A.A. Members.

Have a problem with alcohol? There is a solution. A.A. has a simple program that works. It’s based on one alcoholic helping another.

District 13 is located in Southern Minnesota (Area 36)

 

The primary purpose of District 13 is to provide an arena where A.A. members and A.A. groups work together on service opportunities to effectively carry the message to the still suffering alcoholic as we believe participation in general service work allows us to express gratitude for our recovery.  


District 13 accomplishes its purpose by:

  • Organizing workshops.
  • Hosting an annual Gratitude Celebration.
  • Reaching out to all A.A. groups within the district.
  • Hosting an A.A. Information Booth during the Anoka County Fair.
  • Assisting GSRs with the growth and well-being of their groups.
  • Connecting the A.A. groups within the district to A.A. as a whole.

 

What is District 13?

  • District 13 is a collection of A.A. groups located within Anoka County, Minnesota.  It is part of the geographic region designated as Area 36 (Southern Minnesota) by the General Service Conference. 


District Meetings

  • District 13 meetings are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month (except July) at the Coon Rapids United Methodist Church located at 10506 Hanson Boulevard NW, Coon Rapids, Minnesota, starting at 7:00 p.m.
  • Any A.A. member is welcome to attend! District meetings include a concept summary, reports from District Officers and Committee Chairs, and GSR sharing.
